As the world must spin on during this time, so do sales!
While the World Health Organisation flip-flops once more on whether or not videos are “healthy”; We, the gamers, rise up to the bargains on-show! These bargains come to us because the Easter Bunny is gonna be sh*tting on your lawn again very soon; So thank you Easter Bunny for sh*tting on our lawns and convincing PlayStation to do a sale.
As is the norm with these sort of things, I’m doing another article on what I think IS BEST. You know, because I know best (I absolutely do not). So let’s dive in to my picks from the PlayStation Easter Sale!
TWO POINT HOSPITAL – $55.96 (save 20%)
It’s basically Theme Hospital come back to life. Two Point Hospital is a simulator where you build your own hospital and more! It’s not lost on me how wild a pick this title is for our current timeline. But sometimes the best things for such a time, are interactive worlds that counter our current-experience.
So take control and get in there and build a great hospital to help people. It might just help you at this moment.
BLOODBOURNE: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION – $26.95 (save 57%)
I’d like to think it’s well-known enough that I somehow love AND hate Souls-like games, and Bloodbourne: Game Of The Year Edition is literally of the exact same breed. Developed by FROM Software, Bloodbourne is a gothic world of hunters versus demons, that touts theology amongst 1-hit kills.
Stupidly beautiful, with a basic learning curve; The advanced skill-level comes from timing, inventory management and choosing the right stats for your avatar.
Goddamn do I hate/love this game.
Dragon Ball FighterZ – $26.95 (save 77%)
Arc Systems are some of the best at 2.5D fighting games. Their graphical fidelity, and hugely-fun combat systems have seen them rise from strength to strength with each release. Along with this, they have some of the best net code out, so you can only understand how excited people were when they announced Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Producing a title that fits the hyper-nature of the show, it’s bat-sh*t crazy at a fantastic price. Along with this goddamn wish-of-a-price, you can grab the Fighters Pass and the Extra Fighters at reduced prices too!
SHENRON HAS F*CKIN’ SPOKEN.
Kingdom Hearts III – $35.98 (save 70%)
I’ve heard at this point if you haven’t followed Kingdom Hearts up until this point, it’s going to be some sh*t to experience fresh. Which is why I can’t help but recommend Kingdom Hearts III enough. Releasing almost 14 years after the previous installment, all I know is the wild crossover of Square Enix meets Disney continues. What happens from there is anyone else’s guess, so look…just grab a bargain, okay?
Sega Mega Drive Classics – $34.95 (save 36%)
Maybe nostalgia is the key to finding a little bit of goodness in these times. Because we were a region that got behind the might of Sega in its day, it means the likes of the Sega Mega Drive Classics collection is something to make our memory banks boil. With classics like Phantasy Star, Streets Of Rage 2 and of course Sonic, there’s enough in there to excite your inner-youth.
And if you missed out on this classic piece of technology, well, maybe today’s games aren’t the taste you’re after.
Devil May Cry 5 – $34.95 (save 45%)
I feel like Devil May Cry 5 might have been on a previous list too, but it’s back again! Maybe more so because I need to buy it, but that’s someone else’s problem. The SSStylish hack and slash returns, refined with the BEAUTIFUL RE Engine bringing the adventures of Dante and co. back to the fore. With a new playable character in tow, known as “V” because SSStylish, you can bet your bottom-dollar that it’s as fun as the previous installments, and definitely better than 2.
We don’t talk about 2 in these parts.
Monopoly Plus – $12.95 (save 45%)
What’s that? The new hotness? YOU’RE LOOKING AT IT. “It’s MONOPOLY for a new era!” the game proudly declares. With a full 3D city at the center of the board which lives and evolves as you play, you can play the way you want and change the rules to adapt the game to your style. With online multiplayer, you can relive all the horrors of Monopoly played with friends, just like you used to!
CAPITALISM!
So there you have it.
A selection of what I think might be some of the best deals out there. Of course, these are solely what I think are great. There’s tonnes of sports titles in there which I don’t care for, and a few I’m lucky enough to already own.
But while I sit here and ponder on what I’m going to pick up, you should definitely get in there and find a bargain.
