Escalation.
Any good story should continue to escalate. Whether it’s through tension, plot or relationships, it should keep pace toward the top where it inevitably peaks. And the peak is then revealed as the thing responsible for the journey.
In which case, WandaVision is making its climb terribly well.
As the intersect continues, the external machinations of SWORD try to claw further into Westview. Discoveries are made as to some of the “why are they there?”. And our heroes James Woo, Darcy Lewis and Monica Rambeau are doing their best to find the truth. All the while, Wanda is living a new 90’s life with her now revived brother Pietro, the twins who may have developed powers, and a Vision who questions this world more and more.
Much like Vision and his curiosity, we field CROWDSOURCED questions because it helps break up the article and allows me to avoid thinking too much.
If vision is dead how did he walk out of the hex? Or did he not fully get out of the hex?
— Sam Jarman ???? (@samjarman) February 18, 2021
Sam’s back with the hard-hitting questions and support! I think this question is where we have to get a bit “spiritual”. Physically, Vision is dead. We could see that when they showed his vibranium body sprawled out in SWORD. BUT…does that mean he’s dead ‘dead’? In a world of superheroes, and one where Vision is born from an artificial intelligence, what does ‘dead’ mean? And specifically in the case of Vision, it’s even more contrived as the essence of him comes from the Mind Stone.
You know, the very thing that empowered Wanda.
So can he ever really die, when the thing that created him, still remains within Wanda? It definitely changes that old saying “they live on inside of us”, that’s for sure.
I also think it’s interesting how his body responded to exiting the Hex. It didn’t so much as tear, but the Hex was definitely trying to keep him confined within its walls. And you could see that by the way his body slowly deteriorated; Scars appearing in a way which matched how his body was split at SWORD. So maybe the question isn’t if he’s dead; It’s maybe that “is he only alive in the Hex?”. And if this is the case, just how powerful is Wanda where she can change the fate of someone’s death?
Vision is the hex. Wanda is sucking his power to create her dreamworld

Interesting premise Jordan 2.0! This is kind of true in the sense, that both Vision and Wanda’s power are derived from the Mind Stone. So yes! Vision is technically the Hex!
As for how horny the rest of your statement is though, I must decline.
so are tommy & billy real? or just figments of wanda’s hex-slash-imagination? they’re in the comments so i’m inclined to believe they are but even with their powers – HOW DID THEY AGE SO FAST????
— ? (@stellaOCE) February 19, 2021
Ms. Stella is back with GOOD questions once more!
If we get nerdy for a moment, and look at our knowledge we have from the comics, Tommy and Billy can be both real AND imaginary. Created by Wanda’s power, we find out she was manipulated into doing this by a shady character who craved the power of the twins. So as is the word of the day, they’re technically real and not real. And doesn’t it seem a little similar to how they currently exist within WandaVision? Makes you think. And how did they age so fast? Well the Hex will be part of the reason for that, along with the generational shift in shows that Wanda takes Westview through.
theories on darcy’s ‘persona’ in the hex?
— ? (@stellaOCE) February 19, 2021
Honestly, the fact that it won’t be Max from 2 Broke Girls means I cannot answer this question any further due to heartbreak. I thank you for understanding at this time.
How is Pietro so cognizant of everything going on around him? He seems to have far more insight into what’s going on than anyone else in the hex, which at times has surprised even Wanda.

We have a late entry from Josh! It was a goodie so I had to sneak it in. I feel Pietro X says something that’s relevant to this in the episode. When Wanda asks him how is he back, he talks about hearing her voice and having to go to it. The story there feels a bit shady, which means we either have to believe him. Or we absolutely question it.
How does all this fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Will we now be expected to have watched these shows to understand what happens in the films that come out from now on?
— ?BlametheRobot? (@BlameTheRobot) February 19, 2021
WandaVision is after EndGame which means, yeah it would be nice to have the 21 movies behind you to fully enjoy it. But I think it can stand on its own (though the Pietro reveal would probably lack impact). And while it may have ties to Doctor Strange 2 and another upcoming feature, I don’t think it’s a necessity for future films.
So that’s enough crowdsourcing to have survived another week of articles.
I know, I know, I could’ve asked sooner. But with another lockdown having taken place, I almost created my own Hex. But I just chose a little bit of sadness instead. And thankfully, that ended on the day WandaVision returns. With a new decade of TV to take place, it feels like the mountaintop is right there and I can’t wait for the avalanche.
