“BUT WHEN IS LABOUR WEEKEND?”
This has become the most REDUNDANT question for me. Periodt. It’s always the last weekend of October. It never moves. It never changes. It is always THERE.
THE LAST WEEKEND OF OCTOBER. ANNUALLY.
Anyway, that’s when the Auckland Armageddon Expo is, and it’s always full of pop culture-y…culture. And I’ll always be occupying the land of PlayStation.
NO THERE’S NO PLAYSTATION 5.
Yah, it would be wild if there was legitimately something to show, but that baby is still being cooked in a quantum oven of infinity, so your next gaming experience can be THE BEST IT DELIVERS YET.
So to make things easier, I’ve had a list put together for me that I will re-purpose and ENTICE you with, into the world of PlayStation (as if I wasn’t reason enough…).
THE PLAYSTATION FRIENDLIES
The collaborative royal rumble organised by Let’s Play Live and PlayStation returns, with this years players able to compete in featured titles such as Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, FIFA 20, NBA 2K20 and more.
With an array of prizes on the line, and guest MC’s to showcase finals as they go down, it’s all or nothing once again at the PlayStation stand.
Just make sure you sign up here.
Death Stranding Theatre
I absolutely love how weird that sounds, because it should sound weird. Which is awesome.
Anyway, attendees can get up and close with Hideo Kojima‘s first solo-outing after he escaped the pachinko-like shackles of Konami in the Death Stranding Theatre Experience.
An all-new, genre-defying open-world action-adventure game set in the near future, you can get a taste of the title with 20 minutes of in-depth gameplay screening at the stand before it’s delivered to PS4 on 8th November.
Marvel’s Iron Man VR
Who knows if VR will return with the 5, but thanks to the 4 you’ll still have the opportunity to put on Tony Stark’s undies and become the Invincible Iron Man.
Using two PlayStation Move controllers, you’ll fire up your suit’s repulsor jets and blast into the skies with an arsenal of iconic Iron Man weaponry at your fingertips.
Marvel’s Iron Man VR releases exclusively on PlayStation VR on the 28th of February 2020, so get that 4 month lead on it if you can.
Medievil and more!
The game that people are still trying to figure out who asked for it, Medievil will be on show in demo form as Skull-Man Fortesque brings the 90’s to today.
You can check this out with a tonne of other PlayStation hits including Dreams, Concrete Genie, GT Sport and more!
WAIT.
I think that’s all my article padding gone.
Haha, but no, no. I can write good too (that’s the joke Internet Editors).
That was the awesome CONTENT provided to me by PlayStation who I will be working with again this year at Armageddon.
This feels like an almost more exciting time than previous for me, because this is it.
THE PLAYSTATION 4 SWAN SONG.
After this, we’ll be preparing for the coming of the 5. And while there’s certain exclusions that make you think (where are you The Last Of Us: Part II), for the most part it’s a nice “we’ll see you soon” showcasing of what has made PlayStation great.
And that’s the players.
It’s always been For The Players.
So I hope to see you there.
