“FINALLY. THE ROCK HAS COME BACK”. To whatever location it was. In this case though, it’s going to be Sony, and it’s into the heads and hearts of gamers worldwide with their PlayStation 5 event.
HOPEFULLY.
If they don’t f*ck it up. I mean yeah, they’ve had a strong generation with the PlayStation 4. But success doesn’t necessarily excuse the troubles they had with the PlayStation 3 launch, which to this day hangs over their head. When you succeed as well as they did with both the PlayStation One and 2, then the 3’s launch is inexcusable. While the 4 was an apology for its past, the PlayStation 5 will hopefully be the bouquet of future flowers to top it all off.
While we don’t know exactly what will be presented, it’ll be “something”. Something is often better than nothing, even if it’s just software. Early rumours say the event is simply about the “what we can play” which, to be fair, is the something we want.
It’s the reason we play.
