“But where was week 7?”
Honestly I feel the first 7 episodes, along with episode 8, explained themselves sufficiently. Hell, episode 8 had some people thinking TOO MUCH exposition had taken place. But I enjoyed it. And I felt we didn’t need to wonder too much about it.
Taking the audience through the trauma which had shaped Wanda’s grief, to reveal that she’s this whole new magical being, was a refreshing ride to take within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
So where to from here?
Well I thought it a fine time to reflect on the wonderings. Wanda has become the Scarlet Witch. It was Agatha all along. Vision is Vision. And the kids are gone, but not forgotten. So I’m going to go back to my crowdsourcing to see just how close everyone got over the last 8 weeks.
WEEK ONE.
Wandas powers aren’t greatly explored in the movies but as a MUTANT she has the ability to manipulate reality altogether. Do you think she’s created an alternative universe for herself to cope with the trauma of the Avengers movies.

From week one, we wondered if she created an alternate universe. I mean SORT OF. Technically everything within the Hex was a different reality taking place over the top of ours. And this is something Agatha touches on as being a symbol of her status as the Scarlet Witch; The ability to reshape reality. So yes, on a technicality, she definitely did do this to manage her trauma (caused by events in the MCU, not cause of the movies lol).
WEEK TWO.
Oh also!
1. When vision was outside and clicked about what is happening. Thinking that Angus may not be the bad guy?
2. Is Vision in this world or somehow is he back?! For real real, not for play play.— Matt (@mattrondavis) January 24, 2021
Well turns out Agnes was SORT OF the bad guy, simply because she manipulated Wanda’s grief for her own means. Whether the intent was good or bad, can be left thought upon until her return I suspect.
And as for Vision, well. Did The Ship Of Theseus not explain it for you?
WEEK THREE!
JIMMY WOO AND HIS HAND MAGIC!
— Jesse Joseph (@jessej1977) February 4, 2021
Coming back to punch someone in the face, perform a flourish with handcuffs, and then rounding up the paperwork for Wanda, we’ll hopefully see more of Jimmy Woo in future!
Where’s Coulson at
And how about Fury?
I’ve heard rumours of a Mandalorian level cameo at the end of the season? Guesses? Stark? Fury? Other?
— Sam Jarman ???? (@samjarman) February 4, 2021
Still dead.
As for Fury, I believe he’s the “person in the sky” that Rambeau is off to see in Episode 9’s first post-credits ending.
As for the “Mandalorian-level cameo”? That was Bettany being a troll by accident, which people started catching on too. The person he most wanted to work with, was himself. And the cameo, was the new Ghost Vision. All confirmed below:

And my favourite Week 3 question:
Is Agents of Shield even canon?
— Jor EL (@Jorelephant) February 4, 2021
Still absolutely not. Throw it in the sea.
WEEK FOUR!
i’ve seen many ppl in YT comments speculating the little hand flick wanda did when putting all the lasers on sword boss guy (can u tell i am a Knowledgeable Fan) was very similar to magneto’s lil hand flick seen in the xmen films, thoughts and feelings???
— ? (@stellaOCE) February 10, 2021
Turns out it was nothing but a nice nod. The actions themselves, probably more meaningful to the audience than the universe itself.
It was simply a nice coincidence.
WEEK FIVE.
If vision is dead how did he walk out of the hex? Or did he not fully get out of the hex?
— Sam Jarman ???? (@samjarman) February 18, 2021
Yes and no. When Vision asked Wanda “what he was” she responded that he was the part of the Mind Stone that was in her. And because of that, it restricted his existence to the Hex, because that was the reality he was manifested into.
So he was alive. Just not in ways we comprehend.
And now with Ghost Vision’s existence, he does exist once more. It will just be interesting to see where that ones memories begin, and the others ends.
theories on darcy’s ‘persona’ in the hex?
— ? (@stellaOCE) February 19, 2021
It wasn’t Max, and it was truly devastating. Please leave me in peace during this time.
How is Pietro so cognizant of everything going on around him? He seems to have far more insight into what’s going on than anyone else in the hex, which at times has surprised even Wanda.
— ?BlametheRobot? (@BlameTheRobot) February 19, 2021
Turns out it was Agatha All Along! Thanks to how she was controlling Ralph Bohner, he was aware of everything because of his role in Agatha’s scheme. So Pietro, who was then known as Fietro, and revealed later as Ralph, knew simply because it was Agatha. All along.
DONE (as Week Six was revelation lol).
Do we need to go over the Ship Of Theseus again? Or do we want to know about Ghost Vision? And just what is Wanda doing in those mountains??
OH! I can actually elaborate on that, because people keep asking me. What is Wanda doing? Agatha just explained that Wanda is the Scarlet Witch. This being is the cause of the end of the world, which itself could be some nice future setup for certain…things. Wanda doesn’t really KNOW magic, but is now pushing on to learn how to DO magic. Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme, was quite skilled in his beginnings, learning to do things like astral project in his sleep to keep expanding his knowledge of the arts. To learn this, he had access to people and books that could tell him how to do this. Except Wanda herself, has somehow learnt to astral project, while awake, to continue a normal life and learn the Darkhold.
WILD.
Agatha wasn’t lying when she said Wanda was stronger than the Sorcerer Supreme, so just what will her role be in his movie? A friend also speculated that she could be amongst the ranges of Wundagore, where a certain being associated with her magicks, and the Darkhold, exists. But we’ll have to see if that comes to fruition.
I loved every moment of WandaVision.
and it’s so great to see the MCU forge on with this new way of telling their stories. With a heartfelt ending to a tale rife with sorrow and mystery, it’ll be interesting to see how the next stories are told.
