“WANDAVISION!”
Charming opening themes from Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez whisk us away to Wanda and Vision’s television reality, as episode 3 kicks off in week 2 of Wandavision.
AND THE DEVELOPMENTS DON’T QUIT!
Wanda was pregnant! SHE ALSO gave birth! It was twins! Vision overheard Agnes and Herb discussing THINGS (subtitles)! There’s a crane! SWORD revealed! And “Geraldine” got blasted back to…the real…reality!
PHEW.
Again, I have my own multitude of questions I could raise, but I decided to crowdsource once more because just what was happening in episode 3 of Wandavision?
Big trues from Mattron. It wasn’t even just about the reality starting to break, but hearing her Sokovian accent jump OUT really shows how much trauma Ms. Maximoff is carrying. While I yearn for the day that my boy Pietro returns, it’s evident that this is just as true for Wanda. Along with the grief of having lost a being she could relate to and be affectionate with, the darker side of her swims ever closer to the surface. Could this mental break lead toward Wanda being able to completely disestablish the whole of the current reality for another?
OH GEEZ MATT.
So the conversation is pretty much what I said above! They know something is up in this world. They comment on Wanda going into the house, the pregnancy and the power outage. They then comment on Geraldine not “fitting in”. They say “there’s no family”.
“She came here because we’re all…”
And that comment may be the break releasing everyone from the reality. Agnes steps in concerned, looking at Herb with a face that says “We can’t. We can’t tell him”. So yes, it does seem like Agnes may not be the big bad we think they are.
As for Vision’s current state of life! Unknown! I mean, was he really alive? He was the A.I Jarvis, which merged with parts of Ultron, and was then planted in a shell of vibranium thanks to the Mind Stone! Then Thanos ripped the Mind Stone, which made all of this possible, out of his head!
But also that stone either gave or awakened Wanda’s powers, so…
WHO KNOWS. NEXT.

Agreed Barbs. Their sets have been so key to reflecting this surreal reality our heroes have crawled into. Especially when you’re aware of how the spaces change in size, as the decorative flourishes change ever so slightly. And these kinds of changes, along with our knowledge that there’s a certain something off, certainly ramps up the creepiness factor of the show. And I wonder if this will change as Wanda’s, and our known MCU reality, start to clash. This collision of realities, and the character’s grief, will be sure to create a series of events which may have serious ramifications for the universe overall. Especially when we find out who’s involved in the real reality.
Here’s to episode 4!
