The November shut down begins.
And it begins by preparing for it. I received an email today from my friends at PlayStation NZ. A simple subject was attached. ‘Grand Theft Auto VI Pre-Load Begins on November 10th on PS5’. That’s right. If you have the your pre-order through the digital store, or have received your digital code, you can pre-load Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto VI.
Today, Rockstar Games announced that pre-load for Grand Theft Auto VI will begin on November 10. With the game requiring 212GB of storage, we wanted to share a few pre-load and storage tips for players who have pre-ordered the game so they can be ready to jump in at launch on November 19′.

A link then ends up pointing to a fairly innocent blog post which speaks to the gamers who have just picked up their PlayStation 5. But what about those already setup? People who have already been using, and pushing, their 1TB storage to the limit?
Well. Let me come through with a handful of recommendations.
It’s time to uninstall Call Of Duty.
One of the world’s biggest titles that lacks any sort of optimization, you don’t need it. You’re going to be too busy playing GTA6. Uninstall Warzone. Hell, uninstall anything COD-related. It’s time to cold-turkey from it.
It’s time to uninstall Marvel Rivals.
Okay, this one is actually very well optimized and doesn’t give up too much space. But the Infinity War event sucked. You haven’t played it in a while and have left it installed because maybe you’ll go back to it. But let’s be honest. You’re not going back. And uninstall Overwatch and Counter Strike while you’re at it.
You are not a Trophy Hunter. Uninstall those games you think you’ll Platinum.
Especially if they’re FromSoft games. Yes, you could finish them one day! But is that day, today? No. Because today is playing GTA6. Uninstall them.
DEAD EYE MODE
Uninstall everything. The only game your PlayStation 5 needs is Grand Theft Auto VI in the month of November. Other games can wait until 2027. It’s that easy.

I think those are some of the most ingenious decisions you can make. As for me…well I’ll probably be deleting…huh. I better go check my PlayStation 5 I guess.
