I love how every brand says “IT’S BACK”.
They threaten to engage the consumer with a performative spring dance of surprising nature. It is no surprise you’re back, blessing us with your bargains. Giving us your bargains.
US CONSUMING YOUR BARGAINS.
PlayStation have jumped ahead of the pack, and started running their BLACK FRIDAY sales now because they can. I also don’t know why I capitalise BLACK FRIDAY, I just feel it makes sense to.
Excitedly clicking through their offerings, because I’m quite certain I’m going to make some purchases, I thought it good to share these deals with you.
Because sharing is caring and here’s my top picks from the BLACK FRIDAY PlayStation sale.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition
Man, that’s hella wordy aye?
But I will never NOT endorse Insomniac Games take on the universe of Spider-Man. You can see my 5 star review on it here. And what’s great about this specific version, is it’s the ‘Game Of The Year Edition’.
That means it includes ALL the downloadable content for ‘The City That Never Sleeps’ which means just when you think the game is over…it isn’t.
Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition
The adventures of Aloy is something that’s still so clear in my brain, and I crave more of that world to see where her story goes.
With the success of Death Stranding recently, showcasing the power of the Decima Engine once more, you can just tell that Guerilla Games is going to bring something great if this world returns.
The Frozen Wilds expansion further shows that they have a few more tricks to pull off, and thankfully you get that with this edition of the game.
Dad Of Boi
God Of War is one of the definitive experiences to be had on the PlayStation 4. So much so, that I called it a benchmark for the platform.
And now it’s only $26.95 with the BLACK FRIDAY sale which is just BONKERS. You’d be silly not to buy it.
RESIDENT EVIL 2
$34.95. 66% off. That is RIDICULOUS for one of the best games of this year. But I’m happy cause I’m just going off critical and consumer feedback as I still haven’t picked it up.
Running in the beautiful RE: Engine and updating the game’s play-style to the modern age, the story of Leon and Claire takes on a new life as Raccoon City is overrun once more by capitalism and zombies.
Persona 5: Ultimate Edition
We may not all be weaboos, but I feel like Persona 5 makes a convincing argument to become one. With a fantastic story, in a fun game that is parts life and dating simulator, puzzle-platforming and turn-based battle, it is just…A LOT.
AND I LOVE IT.
The Ultimate Edition stands out as it includes a TONNE of content which ensures the 80 hour game is probably going to be longer than that.
Plus you get Personas that literally dump on early bosses and it’s hilarious.
There you have it.
My choices for PlayStation’s excellent BLACK FRIDAY sale. I’m definitely picking up Resident Evil 2, and there’s a few other titles that have piqued my interest. The other weaboo titles are still playing high-ball, but you know…you can never have enough games you might not get around to playing.
But I’m willing to sacrifice sleep for such a thing.
